3 Halloween Make Up Ideas

For all dressing up for Halloween is one of the main things I enjoy about it, I usually end up doing the same costume every year. It's simple and easy and virtually free!

3 Halloween Make Up IdeasI go goth - back dress, black tights, dog collar for my neck (an actual collar for dogs, not a vicar collar!), cat collar for my wrists, pale face with lots of black eyeliner, black lipstick (which is actually liquid eyeliner set with a bit of black shadow, it lasts all night with no need for touch ups even when drinking) and black nail varnish. I even dye my hair black for the night! The only cost was the first time I did it, I had to buy a dog and cat collar.
You could also add a witches hat or vampire teeth!

This year, I have been watching a lot of YouTube Halloween make up tutorials for something a bit different. As it turns out, I won't be dressing up this year because where I work aren't doing a party this year - a pub not doing a Halloween party! Don't even get me started on that one!

However, I thought I would still share my three favourite - they are a lot easier than you would imagine when you watch the tutorials! Enjoy :)

1. Ripped up face!

2. Two face!

3. Exploded face!

Have you tried any of these? What is your tried and tested Halloween costume? Let me know in the comments :)

  1. I go as some type of vampire almost every year and I go goth with it. It's the one time of the year where I can express that side of myself so I love going for it! I have changed up my costumes though because I like trying new things. Another costume I really like to go as is a Renaissance lady. One of these years I'm going to go as Marie Antoinette and another as Queen Elizabeth! Visiting from #themadmidweekbloghop

    1. Yeah, I quite like the goth look too but I couldn't do it everyday, I kind of envy the girls who suit it enough to pull it off as an everyday look! Marie Antionette and Queen Elizabeth sound like good options :)

  2. Woah! Such a terrifying costume for the Halloween. I'm guessing it's a lot of work to do so. The only thing I ever done mostly through make without all the crafty cosmetic part of it.

    1. It actually looks easier than you would think when you look at the finished product. Its all about the liquid latex!

  3. I like these ideas I always tend to dress as a witch each year although I did do a zombie make up look last year.

  5. Whoa, they all look so realistic and gory! I LOVE IT! Haha. I like the exploded face one best. Not sure I'd do it myself though as I think I'd mess it up, haha. I usually go goth style if I do anything for Halloween. Black make up, long black cardigan, black trousers or skirt and black top. Oh and I usually add a bit of glitter (because I love sparkles lol!) Some fab ideas in this post, thank you for sharing! :) xx

    1. I think the beauty of the exploded face one is that it doesn't have to be perfect so if it does get a bit messed up it just adds to the look! I'm sure you could add glitter though lol :) x

  6. Holy Cow! I didn't see that coming! Totally awesome! I'd like to go with the "half my face blown off" bit! Visiting from #MMBH

  8. Absolutely love the Harvey Dent one. I haven't dressed up in a few years (the only thing I've been for a while is a "Nudist on Strike" - easiest costume ever). I did go through a phase in college of being a fairy though, a couple of Halloweens in a row.

  9. My god I would run away screaming if I saw one of those crossing the street. Imagine the work it takes to do the prosthetic and makeup. Last year I went as Queen of Hearts and the year before I was Black Swan.

    1. Haha, I know they are pretty freaky! It takes a long time, but looks easy enough to do. Ooh I like the Black Swan idea :)

  10. OMG that last one is really too good. I know it would give the little man and me nightmares! What a shame you aren't dressing up. We've been busy making decorations (really simple ones) and the pumpkins are in ready for carving. We need to sort costumes now! I think I am more excited than the boys. It will be the first year we do trick or treating. #brilliantblogposts

    1. Yeah, I think these looks are more for adult parties, I think the kids would be frightened! I know, I'm gutted but I would feel a bit daft being the only one lol! Sounds like you are all prepared, enjoy your trick or treating :)

  12. These are incredible, absolutely great inspiration! I've never tried something like that but I've always wanted to. Looks super creepy and I saw a tutorial by Wengie recently that made blacking out an eye look really easy!
