1. People Who Eat Darkness by Richard Lloyd Parry - A true crime book about a mysterious murder in Tokyo
2. The Dead Won't Sleep by Anna Smith - Fictional crime
3. Little Hands Clapping by Dan Rhodes - I'll be honest, I have no idea what this book is all about. I did the thing you're not meant to do and chose it by it's cover. The cover looked very Halloweeny, so it seemed perfect for October!
4. Charles Manson Coming Down Fast by Simon Wells - The chilling biography about Charles Manson
Which books are on your list this month? Let me know in the comments :)
Ooh I'm not sure I'd sleep after that little lot! I'm more of a self-help type reader (like the loser I am!) - but I've got a few parenting books to review this month and I've just joined a book club, so I have a novel to read too called Elizabeth is Missing (looks a bit scary too actually!). Thanks for linking up to #TheList xxx
ReplyDeleteElizabeth is Missing is brilliant. It's quite sad but a great read :) Thanks for hosting! x
DeleteOoh, my list is certainly not so gruesome looking :-) I'm currently reading The Whole-Brain child which is a great read so far and I am reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with my 8 year old which we are loving. I avoided the Potter books thinking they'd not really be my thing, even though I enjoyed the films..... but particularly with the enthusiasm of my son they're great!
ReplyDeleteI felt exactly the same way about Harry Potter, but I eventually read them and loved them, although I still prefer the movies :) Haven't tried the Whole Brain Child, will have to look it up!
DeleteI am very impressed you have time to read all these books in one month - you must be a true bookworm! I am reading Dark Places by Gillian Flyn..only 1 chapter in and it's very creepy. Happy reading, hope you don't have nightmares😆 xx #TheList
ReplyDeleteI am lol! Oh I like anything creepy. Haha, I hope not :) x
DeleteOooooo (spooky oooo). Whatever The Little Hands Clapping may be about...the title is terrifying! I'm reading Heart of Darkness and Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Plus another one that I really can't remember anything about but I liked the sound of the writing when I was perusing. Enjoy! #thelist
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty creepy title isn't it. Heart of Darkness sounds like something I would enjoy! Thank you, you too :)
DeleteThis sounds too creepy for me! I'm also impressed you're planning to read four books this month, I've been reading the same book for the past two months, even though I'm really enjoying it, I struggle to get much time to read. #TheList
ReplyDeleteI love anything creepy to read or watch. I plan on roughly one book per week - doesn't always work though lol :)
DeleteI have just started (now don't judge me lol) the new Twilight book, your choices look a lot more serious than mine! ;) #kcacols
ReplyDeleteEach to their own, no judgement here lol. I do like lighter hearted stuff too :)
DeleteGreat list but I'm not too great with crime books - especially as I read books in bed at night #KCACOLS xx
ReplyDeleteMe too, I'm a sucker for punishment I think lol :) x
DeleteWow how do you have the time to read 4 books in one Month! You must be those readers that start a book one day and cant' stop until you finished all, is it true? LOL My mum is like that she just can't leave a book until she finishes all!! I don't have any list at the moment as I don't have any spare time for reading but I hope I can start organising better my time as I miss reading a good book. The last book(s) I read and that was about 4 months ago (before I started blogging!) was Sylvia Day "The Crossfire Novel". This is actually a series of 4 books (Bared to you, Reflected in You, Entwined with You and Captivated by You). These are like the 50 Shades of Grey kind of style. Super erotics! Not sure if you like that but I started the first book and I had to keep reading the other 3!! LOL Thanks for linking up with me at #KCACOLS. I hope to see you again next week ! ;-) x

Yes, that is so me - if I get into a book I have to finish it quickly :) I've read the first three of the Crossfire series, I didn't know there was a new one, I will definitely be looking that one up! Thanks for hosting :) x
DeleteI too am amazed that you have got through so many books in a month and manage to keep churning out all the blog posts and host a linky! I do love a good read, they are all new ones on me. My most recent fave was I let You Go - so good I read it in a couple of days. Love it when that happens. #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteI get a bit of reading done at work while it's quiet, but I love a good book so often read to chill out for a bit. The blog is because I sit up half the night lol :) Me too!
DeleteManson book is really scary! I just finished a crime novel (after 2 years haha) and it was good and I want to start a new one soon! #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to find it pretty disturbing but I still want to read it!
DeleteWhat an interesting collection of books. I'm currently not reading anything, I tried to read Grey but it was a no go as I couldn't get into it. What would you recommend?xx
ReplyDeleteIf you like that kind of book but couldn't get into Grey, Sylvia Day wrote a fab series, The Crossfire series (the first one is Bared To You) which I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed the Magnus Chase book by Rick Riordan, or anything by Jodi Picoult. Enjoy! :) x
