This post was going to be some ideas for a great first date. However, as I was brain storming some ideas, I realised how much of a cliché they all were - dinner followed by cocktails, moonlight picnic, trip to theatre. Doing all the traditional first date things seems a little boring, and puts on so much pressure for everything to be perfect. The perfect outfit, hair, nails, the lighting to be just right, the conversation to flow and keep you both interested with no awkward pauses, laughing at rubbish jokes and arguing over who picks up the cheque.
Personally, I'm more of a pint in the local sort of girl then oysters at a fine dining establishment. It feels so much less forced, and I think you should be able to have fun with someone if you are really going to click.
So I got to thinking of some alternatives that are fun and take away a lot of the pressure:
1. Go paint balling
2. Go to a sports game
3. Join in a murder mystery day
What do you think? Do you prefer a more traditional first date? Let me know in the comments :)
