Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit Part 2

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit Part 2Last week, I announced the arrival of my Shrinking Violet home edition shrink wrap kit. If you missed the post, have a read here for full details of what's included, how it works etc.

What I didn't know at the that time, was that this kit works slightly different to others. The mix of oil and heat are what flush the toxins through. This kit doesn't work by dehydrating you, therefore when you have that first glass of water, the inches don't come back like they do with some shrink wrap treatments.

I have now completed my first treatment. Read on for my thoughts on the treatment!

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit Part 2Firstly, the kit says to use 25ml of lotion. As I was only concentrating on my bum, tum and thighs, I cut this down significantly.

The lotion has a lovely salon fresh, citrusy smell. It is quite runny but was easy to apply and didn't end up all over.

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit Part 2I then popped the suit on. The plan was to take a couple of photos with the suit on. I couldn't do it! There is nothing flattering about being dressed in a head to toe silver coloured shrinky suit, and that is not something I want immortalized on the internet. I would seriously recommend doing this alone or with people you are extremely comfortable with!

I thought the suit would be rather uncomfortable but it really wasn't. It warns in the instructions that the heat and perspiration may cause itching. I have sensitive skin, so I fully expected to be itchy but I wasn't at all. I did feel warm, but not uncomfortably so.

After waiting for an hour, it was time to remove the suit. I turned it inside out and wiped clean with a damp cloth, although it didn't feel sticky or anything.
My skin felt amazing. So soft and not at all greasy.

The results: I lost just short of 2 inches from my stomach and bum area (measuring around my hips), 1 inch of my waist, and just over 1 inch from each thigh! That's a dam good result for one treatment!

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit Part 2

I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to kick start a weight loss programme, someone wanting to tone up slightly or just for a big night out!
Well worth the money!

For more details, or to buy your own Shrinking Violet Wrap Kit, visit the Get Shrinking website here. These kits are a bargain at only £99. I have had a look, and for one session of this treatment at a salon, the price is around £65, so this is a really good offer. This link is NOT an affiliate link, so you can rest assured I'm not trying to sell you this so I make a pound or two. I really do think it's extremely good value for money!

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap KitAnyone who saw my Instagram post from last week, will know I received a parcel I was very excited about, but I couldn't reveal at that point what it was. Well now I can! The parcel was (drum roll please!) the Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap Kit!

I love the idea of a shrink wrap, but in all honesty, I would never get around to going to the salon for one, so this at home DIY kit is perfect for me.

Don't get me wrong, the idea of loosing inches this easily appeals to me, but what also appeals is the fact that this kind of treatment draws toxins out of your body through the skin. Who doesn't want an easy way to get rid of toxins, and with an inch loss bonus!

Shrinking Violet Home Edition Shrink Wrap KitShrinking Violet is a UK based brand, although it is well established world wide. This product was originally developed for salon use, but the brand are now selling their at home kits to appeal to a wider market and bring you salon results at at-home prices. This brand is the only one of its kind to be clinically proven, so you know you are in good hands!

It's quick and easy. All you have to do is apply the lotion to any problem areas, pop the suit on and leave it on for one hour. Simple right!
Everything you need is included in the kit, so there are no "oh you need this too" cons with this.

I love the packaging, it's clean and simple. Nothing fussy or gimmicky. It looks like a professional product from a professional company.

Upon opening the box, there is a smaller box containing your shrinky suit and underneath the tissue paper layer, there is your box of lotion, measuring cup and a tape measure. Also included is the instructions leaflet with a chart for recording inch loss on various areas of your body. I removed this for the photo so you can see the suit's box properly.

I really like how all the separate pieces come in their own individual boxes to it can be stored neatly in between uses. The branding is consistent throughout the product too.

The Shrinking Violet lotion is a 200ml oil based solution. The solution has been fully tested in a professional environment. It's a good sized bottle, so you will get plenty of treatments from it. The lotion is enhanced by the shrinky suit.

The suit works by raising your body temperature. It only raises two degrees, so it is safe to wear whilst exercising should you choose to. Personally, I think I will use the hour to catch up on some reading!

The suit encourages the body to perspire, which is how the skin is cleansed of toxins. The perspiration may cause a little itching whilst you are wearing the suit.

After wearing the suit for an hour, you should see some instant results, and the treatment continues to work for a full 72 hours after the treatment. It is advised that you don't swim, shower or exercise for 12 hours after removing the suit to ensure the treatment reaches its full capacity. If there is still any lotion on your skin, just massage it lightly in. It is also recommended that you drink at least 1L of water a day for 3-4 days after so encourage the toxins to leave your body. You may also notice you pee more than usual for the first day or two after treatment.

It is recommended that you use this product for 90 days to get the full results.

Month 1 - Use once a week
Month 2 - Use once a fortnight
Month 3 - Use once within the month
It is then recommended that you have a treatment once or twice a year to maintain your results.

One of the things I really love about this product is that it doesn't claim to be a miracle cure. It clearly states that if you continually consume more calories than your daily intake should be, that these results will be lost. It makes a point of promoting healthy eating and exercising regularly to remain healthy.

I will be doing my first treatment tomorrow. I'm so excited to try this product! I will be posting an update next Tuesday of my first week's progress, so stay tuned for that! I plan on completing the full 90 days and I will post a final review then.
